Office Policies

At Bland Family Wellness, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care in a professional, respectful, and supportive environment. To help us maintain this standard, we ask all patients to review and adhere to the following office policies:

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the doctor’s day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 1 week notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 1 week notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged the full cost of the visit to the credit card on file.

If you are enrolled in a year-long care plan, Dr. Bland will make every effort to accommodate a reschedule within the same week at no additional charge—however, this cannot be guaranteed.

If you are late for your appointment, the doctor may not be able to see you.

There will be absolutely no correspondence or leniency on this policy. If you email asking for an exception, we will simply refer you back to this policy.

Refunds and Returns Policy

Bland Family Wellness does not accept any returns or exchanges, and no refunds will be given for any reason.

Additional Time Policy

If Dr. Bland needs additional time to provide treatments or services during your visit, this time may be added to your existing appointment for an additional fee. You are paying for Dr. Bland’s expertise, and some visits may require more or less time. This flexibility allows us to provide the best care possible.

Children in the Office

Children are always welcome at Bland Family Wellness—in fact, we encourage entire families to be seen together as part of a holistic approach to health. If you plan to bring children with you to your appointment, please bring something to help keep them quietly occupied during your visit, such as a book, coloring materials, a quiet toy, or an iPad. By attending with your child(ren), you acknowledge and accept responsibility for their supervision.

If you require assistance with watching your child(ren) during your visit, we are happy to accommodate this when possible. However, please note that an additional fee will apply, as this requires our administrative team to pause their duties to supervise.

Priority Booking Policy

Patients are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance to ensure continued access to preferred appointment times and uninterrupted care. By committing to your care plan for the year at 2, 3, or 4 week intervals, you will receive exclusive perks including AO Scans, Cold Laser, and Decompression treatments at no additional cost. You will also receive a 15% discount on all supplement purchases throughout the year.

Patients enrolled in a year-long care plan receive priority support and scheduling. This means your case will be given top attention. For patients not on a care plan, email inquiries will not be addressed outside of scheduled appointments—a visit must be booked to receive support.

By committing to our year-long care plan, you are expected to attend and maintain your scheduled appointments. Any changes that you make as the patient which take you off your prescribed care plan will result in a charge for the discounts received. Prepayment is not required, but consistent participation is expected for optimal wellness. People on a 2 or 3 week care plan can prepay 4 months in advance for a 10% discount on the costs of services.

Your dedication to your care allows us the freedom to show up fully for you in return, providing the highest level of attention and support you deserve.

Multiple Client Appointment Policy

For bookings involving more than one person, a 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward the total cost of services.

Informed Consent for Treatment and Care

Holistic healthcare requires participation, communication, and responsibility from both the practitioner and the patient. You are expected to communicate any concerns or changes in your condition as they arise.

By receiving care at Bland Family Wellness, you acknowledge that you are responsible for monitoring your condition and will inform the staff of any unusual symptoms. You affirm that you understand the nature and scope of chiropractic and holistic treatment, and that your consent extends to the entire course of treatment for your current and future conditions.

This is holistic healthcare, which differs from the passive medical model where patients simply wait for interventions. Our goal is to empower you with the tools and education needed to take an active, responsible role in your healing. In addition to treatment modalities, Dr. Bland will provide lifestyle guidance, supplement recommendations, and dietary plans—all of which are essential to your progress. Clear communication is key: please email us when any issues arise. A strong therapeutic relationship begins with staying engaged and connected.

Termination of Care

Dr. Bland reserves the right to terminate care if a patient fails to adhere to the office rules. These include:

– Arriving on time

– Attending scheduled appointments

– Silencing or turning off cell phones

– Respecting the 1-week cancellation policy

– Treating staff with courtesy and respect

– No food in the office or waiting room.

Non-compliance may result in the loss of care privileges.

Honor Agreement

Dr. Bland will place each patient on a personalized care plan designed to support holistic health and long-term well-being. These care plans typically span twelve months. Patients are expected to actively participate in their prescribed treatments and follow recommendations.
You’re here for a second opinion—trust the process. Searching online for answers or self-prescribing products outside of your care plan often leads to confusion and wasted time. The real work happens here in the office; stay focused, stay present, and let’s do this the right way.
If a session is missed, it must be rescheduled and completed within the care plan timeline.

Labwork Policy

All lab test results must be discussed during a scheduled office visit, either in person or via secure telehealth visit. This ensures thorough review and the opportunity to answer questions directly.

Results will not be released, discussed, or shared via email or any electronic messaging system. This protects your privacy and promotes professional oversight. If a patient is concerned, we can accommodate a special appointment, please contact the office to do so.

If you need to see the labs prior to your appointment, contact the lab – it’s your property!

If you have labs you would like Dr. Bland to review prior to your first appointment, please email them to Dr.RyanBland@gmail.com at least 1 week before your visit, or bring a printed copy to your appointment.

Release of Liability

Any information shared on this website, via email, or through social media platforms does not constitute medical advice and should not be interpreted as such.

By engaging with Bland Family Wellness, you release and discharge Dr. Bland and any associates from liability for injuries, complications, or undesired outcomes resulting from the treatment provided. This release includes any claims, actions, suits, costs, or demands of any kind arising from injury or death associated with care.

Policy Updates

Office policies, including but not limited to cancellation terms, are subject to change. We will make reasonable efforts to inform you of any changes via email, our website, online booking platforms, and signage in the office.

It is your responsibility to stay informed. Failure to review updates does not exempt you from compliance.
